BIO WRITING

You are out there living your best life and making a bold impression. So how do you capture all that in a personal or professional bio? You get some help. Because this stuff is hard to do by yourself. You have so much data to interpret and organize from decades of being you. And being awesome at life doesn’t inherently make you awesome at writing about it.  Kim will partner with you to focus your efforts, go deep on what matters, piece together your story and write the first draft. This will take you from stressing out about your bio to clicking “update” on your website, “send” on that application, or “sign me up” on that Bumble profile.

YOU LIVE IT;
KIM WRITES IT

Kim has been writing biographies for her friends since those programs for high school theater productions. And even a few for colleagues over the years who took too long to write their own. Using the lens of your values, Kim will help you construct a story that matches up key experiences of your life with the audiences you want to attract and engage. It’ll be a reflective and fun process that results in a written product you can be proud to share in your company, industry and community.

HOW WE WORK IT

Writing your bio is more than a paragraph version of your resume. It is a guided tour of what actually matters to you and how you share that in a story. The process includes:

  • An intake call to get a sense of each other and if we are a fit

  • Customized questionnaire to complete on your own or with a friend

  • An in-person session to dig into your values and outline your story

  • A first draft of your updated biography and one round of edits

YOU'RE WORTH IT

Stop stressing and settling for a story that doesn’t capture what you bring to the world. Invest in your business and yourself with a narrative that sticks, sells and spurs your business!

Kim took my off-the-cuff life story and goals for my bio and made magic happen. She pushed me to really think about my values, and how those relate to the bio for my company. She then culled what was important and impactful, added in some personality, and now I have the best dang bio a girl could ask for! She even came up with the smartest little one-liner that is included - I couldn't have asked for a more superb experience and final product

Going through the bio writing process has definitely helped me to express to others what I do, but it also helped me to better understand why I do it.

LET'S GET STARTED

Your best bio starts with a call to talk more about you, what you care about, who you want to work with and how we might work together.
